Harry Williams is not getting carried away with Swindon Supermarine’s fantastic start to the season but hope his side can “put down a marker” against Truro City on Saturday.
Both Marine and Truro have made perfect starts to their Southern Premier South campaign and whilst Williams admits it’s early days, he is targeting another three points to maintain their run of form
“It’s still early, obviously nobody wins or loses it in the first few games but we want to put a marker down and go there and win,” said Williams.
Williams struck late on at Hartley Wintney to give Supermarine their second win of the season and he was delighted with the result.
“We’ve had to dig in and we’ve come away with the three points. There’s four great strikers at this club and we are both going to be pushing each other.
“It was a great ball and obviously it was nice to finish it off.”
Stuart Fleetwood had earlier given Supermarine the lead from the penalty spot before Hartley Wintney’s Tyron Smith scored from long range with 10 minutes remaining.
Marine return to action on Saturday when they travel to Truro City, another side who have won their opening two fixtures.
