Juniors from Swindon St George Rugby League Club took part in a virtual match against West Oxfordshire Levellers recently.
Swindon St George’s Under 13 players took part in numerous rugby league drills with their results due to be matched against their Oxford opposition.
The club’s first team captain George Lenton-Hall ran the session and declared it a huge success. He has also been delighted by the influx of young players who have come to training sessions recently.
“Here we have got some talented lads coming through,” said Lenton-Hall. “It’s exciting times for our youth team. Hopefully when we can get some games going we can showcase the talent we have.
“I think we can play a massive part down here. Not too many clubs down south for rugby league if we can give children an insight to our sport then hopefully we can see the sport grow.”
