Coaching sessions are quickly returning to action at Swindon Town FC Community Foundation and lead development officer Mitch Coombes said it has been a huge boost for everyone.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on everyone at Swindon Town FC Community Foundation with all programmes brought to a halt by Covid-19.
During the lockdown staff at the Community Foundation remained busy offering online coaching and fitness sessions as well as doing their bit for the local community by delivering food boxes to vulnerable members of the town.
But with lockdown restrictions quickly being lifted, coaching sessions are now returning to action, something Coombe believe is vital for everyone’s mental health.
“I think it’s fantastic for coaches and players mentally and to get some fresh air to do a bit of training and team cohesion,” said Coombes.
The Foundation are adhering to all of the government’s Covid-19 guidelines with social distancing in place and each player allocated their own ball to use during the session.
Amongst the many courses springing back into action are the Foundation’s Development Centres, C6 Programme and some free football sessions for various ages.
