Swindon Supermarine boss Lee Spalding urged his side to take their opportunity to progress in the FA Trophy on Saturday.
A home clash against Dorchester Town marks Marine’s return to action following the second national lockdown and Spalding wants his side to go on a cup run.
Victory is all the more vital bearing in mind that there will be no Southern League games played until at least December 16th after clubs voted not to resume until after the government’s next review on the current tiered system.
“In the three season’s that I’ve been manager I think the most disappointing thing for me is that we haven’t had a cup run,” said Spalding.
“If we play to our full potential then there is not reason why we cannot get a result.
“This weekend will be a real test but we are really excited it is on.
“Saturday is a one-off, it is a cup game.”
Saturday’s match kicks off at 3pm at the Webb’s Wood Stadium.
