Should Swindon Town’s Michael Doughty have been sent off for this incident during the pre-season against Swindon Supermarine.
With just minutes remaining of the clash at the Webb’s Wood Stadium, Doughty challenged Dave Bampton for a header but seemed to lead with his elbow, catching the Supermarine man flush in the face.
The referee immediately brandished a yellow card while Bampton left the field immediately and was later taken to hospital for a suspected broken cheekbone.
Prior to the incident the League Two side had bounced back from going a goal behind in the first half with four second half goals.
Joe Selman gave the hosts the lead as he slotted home just moments after Scott Twine had missed a penalty for Town.
Supermarine held their lead into the break before goals from Michael Doughty, Scott Twine (2) and an own goal from Matt Coupe gave Town victory.
