Highworth Town boss Ross Adams says his side will be “ready to go” when ever Southern League action resumes.
After a month without a game due to the second lockdown, Highworth slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Shrivenham in a friendly where he utilised the club’s whole squad.
Adams fielded two different sides in each half but was pleased to give his players minutes following the break. However, Highworth will not resume league action this weekend after Southern League clubs voted to delay their restart due to the current Covid-19 restrictions.
“It’s just good to be back out there and get a few minutes under our belts,” said Adams.
“I didn’t really want to give anybody 90 minutes after a month off.
“I’m confident when we do start back that we’ll be ready to go.”
