Conor McDonagh felt he should have completed his hat-trick and earned Swindon Supermarine three points against Salisbury although he admitted a point was a fair result.
Both sides though had good chances to grab a late winner though and McDonagh conceded a point apiece was a point gained rather than two lost.
“You can look at it both ways,” said McDonagh. “If you look at the whole game in all, I’d probably say a draw is a fair result.
“I had a crucial chance at the end to make it 3-2 and obviously complete my hat-trick. I probably shouldn’t have taken a touch and hit it first time but the guy got a good nick on it.
“It’s a good point I’d say because they are a good team.”
Marine return to action on Saturday when they host Merthyr Town at the Webb’s Wood Stadium (3pm, kick-off).
