Assistant manager Kev Milsom is in confident mood ahead of Swindon Supermarine’s FA Trophy clash against Carshalton on Saturday and believes home advantage could give his side the edge.
Having beaten Dorchester at home on Saturday in the previous round, a home draw against Carshalton is “fantastic” according to Milsom who says the whole club is looking forward to the game.
The game will also be played on Saturday rather than in midweek after the FA and both sides agreed to the fixture change.
“It’s a great home draw,” said Milsom. “We fancy ourselves here.
“If we play well we can beat anybody really.
“It should suit us really well. They have 3G, end of the day we are at home so we fancy ourselves at home.”
Victory in Saturday’s second round clash will net the club £3,750 in prize money and an away clash at the winners of Bath City or Chelmsford.
Kick off on Saturday is 3pm at the Webb’s Wood Stadium.
