Shrivenham may have won 9-0 in the FA Vase against Tytherington Rocks but it could have been worse but for the heroics of the visitors’ keeper Lee Mason.

Shrivenham stormed to a 9-0 win against struggling Hellenic Division One West side Tytherington Rocks as they comfortably booked their place in the next round of the Vase.
The hosts made a strong start with Luke Cordery hitting the post twice in the opening 10 minutes.
Sam Ockwell then had an effort cleared off the line before Lewis Waldon grabbed the breakthrough on 16 minutes as he finished a cross from Jamie Prictor.
Ryan Stanners then had a shot well-saved by Rocks’ keeper Lee Mason, who despite conceding nine goals was in inspired form all afternoon.
Prictor then doubled Shrivvy’s lead on 23 minutes before Mason denied the striker a second goal soon after.
On 40 minutes Shrivenham made it 3-0 when Josh Morse was left with a simple tap-in from Scott Chilcott’s cross.
Prictor then doubled his tally right on half-time with Chilcott providing the assist once again.
Chances came and went in the second half as Stanners, Morse and Prictor were all denied goals.
But on 64 minutes Shrivenham increased their lead with substitute Lewis Petrie coolly chesting down a cross before volleying past a stranded Mason.
Dan Drewett struck twice in as many minutes to give Shrivvy a 7-0 advantage before Petrie added his second to make it 8-0.
Stanners, who was superb all afternoon, got the ninth, finishing off a pass from Petrie to round off the scoring.
