Swindon Supermarine’s Lee Spalding and Jake Lee were delighted to have secured three valuable points at Chesham United on Saturday.
A Conor McDonagh goal on the hour proved the difference between the two sides as Marine claimed a hard-earned win at Chesham.
The result lifted Supermarine into fourth place in the division and Spalding believes if his players continue to play in the same manner then they “will be a hard team to beat”.
“Today it was a proper team performance,” said Spalding. “Every player put in a shift and I’ve told them in there that everyone was excellent and I cannot fault the effort.
“Everything was spot on. If we play like that every week then we will be hard to beat.”
Lee meanwhile felt it was an amazing victory adding: “They are a good outfit. To come here and get three points is a good weekend.
“Any result away from home in this league is a good result let alone a win.”
