Watch all the highlights as Royal Wootton Bassett Town edged out Fairford Town in the Hellenic League Challenge Cup.
The game was forced into extra time with the two sides locked together at 1-1 after 90 minutes.
But Steve Yeardley’s goal seven minutes into the extra half an hour was enough to earn Rich Hunter’s side a 2-1 victory at Cinder Lane.
Fairford dominated the opening stages of the game and, after a handful of squandered opportunities, finally took the lead through Ben Saunders’ free-kick.
However it was Bassett who came out the strongest in the second period with Sam Collier producing a fine finish after good work from Lewis Waldon to pull the visitors level.
Bassett then hit the woodwork twice through Yeardley and Kieran Diaz-Benitez before Dan Bailey had a great chance to win it for the hosts late on but his effort was well saved by Dan Lawrence.
And it was left to the skipper Yeardley to win the tie in extra time, his low effort strong enough to beat Ben Mitchell in the home goal.
