Were Swindon Spitfires denied a perfectly good goal during their Wiltshire County Cup semi-final clash with Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies?
Spitrfires were trailing 7-0 at the time when this header looked to have hit the back of the Bassett net.
Watch the clip below and see whether you think the goal should have been awarded.
Hayley Huckin hit six goals as Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies cruised into the final of the Wiltshire County Cup with a 7-0 win at Swindon Spitfires.
Huckin struck twice in the first half as her pace and cool finishing proved too much for the Spitfires’ defence and gave Bassett a 2-0 half-time lead.
Laura Jefferies made it 3-0 with a superb free-kick just three minutes into the second half before Huckin got back on the goal trail.
The striker then headed home a Jefferies’ corner to wrap up her hat-trick before she capitalised on a Spitfires’ mistake to make it 5-0.
Huckin rounded the keeper for fifth and grabbed her sixth and Bassett’s seventh as she fired home from a Maddy Elliott centre.
Bassett will now meet either Swindon Town Ladies Development or Trowbridge Town in the final which takes place at Melksham Town’s Oakfield Stadium on April 15th.
