Player-coach Matt Coupe was delighted with the win against Blackfield & Langley and hopes Swindon Supermarine can carry on their form into Saturday’s home clash with Farnborough.
Tuesday night’s 3-0 win was Marine’s second consecutive win in Southern Premier South but Coupe is wary that another stern test is just around the corner.
Reflecting on the win, Coupe said: “Really pleased with that. The lads have dug in well tonight. The boys up top were excellent, some of our attacking play was really good.
“You have to turn up against every team in this league. Last year we may have been caught cold a little bit and thought we could just turn up and win some games.
“That’s changed for us this year. You know you are going to be in for a game, every week and you’ve got to be on top of your game.
“Hopefully now we are starting to get into a bit of form and we can carry that on into Saturday.”
Supermarine host Farnborough on Saturday at the Webb’s Wood hoping to make it three straight wins.
