Swindon ‘s Max Cook will look to add to his points tally at round two of the Moto 3 Junior World Championship this weekend in Valencia.
Cook showed tremendous pace on his debut in the championship at round one in Estoril, which saw him finish a superb 13th and earn three points.
And the Swindon youngster is determined to add to his points tally this weekend on a track which he is familiar with having raced and won there last season in the British Talent Cup.
Cook enjoyed his debut in Portugal and has his sights set on a top 10 finish in Valencia.
“Round one was a big learning experience for me which I will be taking into round two in Valencia,” said Cook.
“I have a much better understanding of the paddock, my competitors, the team and my bike so I feel good going into this round.
“It’s been a full on few weeks since Portugal as I’ve been revising hard for my GCSE’s next month, but I’ve also been able to prepare for this race well with my trainer and coaches to make sure I’m ready.
“I’m looking forward to getting back on the bike and seeing the team. If I can come away with a couple of top 10 finishes, I’ll be really happy.”
Qualifying will be vital as proven in the opening round in Estoril with Cook knowing he needs to earn a starting place as far up the 36-strong grid as possible.
All races can be watched LIVE on the FIM CEV Repsol YouTube Channel and Cook is scheduled to race on Sunday at 10am (race one) and 1pm (race two).
