Swindon boxers will contest two Commonwealth title eliminators and a Southern Area title on Saturday when a bumper card comes to town once again.

Neilson Boxing and Paddy Fitzpatrick’s third Fight Town bill boasts a huge card of fights with Ryan Martin, Sam Smith and Bec Connolly all taking centre stage.

Swindon-based super middleweight Sam Smith fights for the Southern Area title and takes on unbeaten Londoner Germaine Brown, who has dispatched his last two opponents inside two rounds.

Sniper Smith himself is also in good form having won his last three fights since losing to the impressive Shakan Pitters in the Ultimate Boxer series.

Ryan Martin and Bec Connolly both have Commonwealth title eliminators against Mziwoxolo Ndwayana and Rachel Ball respectively.

Ndwayana is the current South African champion and fights outside of his country for the first time in his career having won his last four fights.

Martin meanwhile is hoping to return to winning aways as well as set up a Commonwealth title shot, having draw with Ohio-Kain Iremiren at the Oasis Leisure Centre last time out.

Super featherweight Connolly’s dream of a shot at the Commonwealth title sees her take on Aldridge’s Ball, who comes into this fight off the back of a majority decision defeat against new interim WBC champion Katharina Thanderz.

Swindon’s Connolly comes into the fight off the back of a points success against Bojana Libiszewska.

Former Commonwealth cruiserweight champion Luke Watkins though has withdrawn from the show but for good reason as he has landed a British title eliminator fight against undefeated Mikael Lawal which is due to take place on January 18th.

Also in action is Bristol’s Duane “The Gasman” Winters who has his first bout since contesting the British title. Duane, a former Southern Area super-bantamweight king, has a slick and smooth boxing style which delights the purists.

The supporting bill is stacked with future star potential. Witney’s unbeaten Bradley Townsend steps up to the six-round distance for the second time in his career after his exciting win against game Des Newton last time out. Fans will also have the chance to see Harry Webb, Jensen Irving, Johnny Ward and former Bulgarian amateur international Vladimir Georgiev.

Tickets are priced at £70 (VIP dining), £55 (VIP) and £35 Standard from http://www.neilsonboxing.co.uk/.
