New Swindon St George head coach Neil Loader is looking forward to watching his side cause opposition defences a real headache this season.
Former Swindon Rugby Union coach Loader is famous for his attacking brand of rugby and revealed it is something he hopes to stamp on his new club.
Loader replaces previous head coach Ben Whincup, who departed in the close season to Coventry Bears, and the new man at the helm is looking forward to the challenge ahead.
“I really enjoyed the time when I played rugby league but that was a long time ago,” said Loader.
“If you ask people about my style of rugby whether it is union or league I like to play rugby, like to chuck the ball around, I like to be expansive.
“I like to play the game and I want to challenge defences with our attack and try to put my stamp on it like I do with rugby union.
“From what I am told and what I saw in the final last year, I think the side can survive quite nicely.
“We have definitely got the right kind of playing staff here. We have a lot of talent here.”
Swindon St George begin their season on April 27th when they host Valley Cougars at Swindon Rugby Club.
