Promoter Mark Neilson believes Saturday’s Kings of Ring show is the biggest card ever to have been staged in the town.
His 14-strong fight card is headlined by local favourite Ryan Martin and also features fellow Swindon boxers Bec Connolly, Said Eltuyev, Phil Williams, Sam Smith and Harry Webb.
Another notable name on the card is Harlem Eubank, the cousin of Chris Eubank Junior, fresh off the back of a spectacular York Hall knockout.
Neilson is expecting a sell-out crowd at Swindon MECA and is excited about staging such a busy show.
“We have got 14 fights scheduled and if you look at BoxRec there are records going back to the late 1800’s, and this is the biggest show that’s ever gone on in Swindon by far,” said Neilson.
“We could have put on more, other fighters have been trying to get on the show, and we just can’t fit them in.”
Saturday’s show, which is in association with Paddy Fitzpatrick and Trifecta, begins at 5.30pm with doors opening at 5pm.
