High-flying Calne dropped their first points of the season after Lawn D produced a stunning late comeback in Division Five of the Swindon & District Netball League.
Calne took an early lead in this match and were seven goals to the good by half-time.
Lawn made some tactical changes at the break and fought back in the second half.
Maya Grounsell made numerous crucial interceptions with an outstanding performance and Lawn were just five goals down going into the last quarter.
A battling find quarter saw Lawn draw level and secure a well-earned draw.
Goal attack Elysia Copeman was player of the match for Lawn.
Purton B now top Division Five after beating Pinehurst D 36-31, maintaining their 100 per cent record.
Elsewhere in the division, Croft D beat depleted Nationwide D 31-21.
Nationwide knew they had a tough task on their hands with just six players available but put in a fighting performance.
The first quarter was close with Nationwide edging into a five-goal lead by half-time.
Not having a seventh player though took its toll in the end, as Croft claimed victory by 10 goals.
Outstanding performances for Nationwide came from Alice Griesel at GS and Ros Strachan, who covered no less than three different positions.
The final score was enough to secure Nationwide a point.
Also in the Division Royal Wootton Bassett C took on Raychem F but they trailed by one at the end of the second quarter.
Great defending and feeding from Bassett saw take the lead en route to a 40-29 victory. Tilly Gould was named player of the match for Bassett.
Lawn’s B team took on Fairford A in Division Two and found themselves behind by three goals early on.
Excellent defending and accurate shooting saw Lawn take a commanding 30-13 lead at the break.
Fairford did make tactical changes at half-time but Lawn proved too strong and ended up winning 53-22.
Hannah Simpson was player of the match for Lawn B.
Nationwide B lead the way in Division Two despite a 48-48 draw with Pinehurst B.
Lawn pipped a battling Jets side by two points in Division Three with Martha Griffiths earning their player of the match award.
Another great start for Lawn C saw them take a strong lead against Jets as they turned interceptions into goals.
Jets came out fighting in the last quarter, however Lawn managed to hold on to their lead, securing a 49-47 win.
Leaders RTM won again, their fifth straight success, beating Pinehurst C 56-21.
Nothing could split Royal Wootton Bassett A and Croft C in an exciting 45-45 draw.
Annabelle Hosking (GK) was named player of the match for Bassett in a match that saw some superb attacking and defending play from both sides.
In Division Four, Wootton Bassett B led from start to finish against Burmah C as they secured a 35-16 success.
Lilli Beard was named player of the match for Bassett.
Faringdon top the division with five wins from five after a 40-28 win over Raychem E.
On Sunday, Royal Wootton Bassett’s High 5 team played in the Swindon Junior League High 5 Seeding Tournament.
Bassett’s boys and girls played five matches, winning three and losing two. They finished third in their group and qualified to play in the Cookey League for this season.
