In our latest edition of our Flashback series we see David Flitcroft Taking charge of his first game since replacing Luke Williams at Town’s helm,  he saw his side notch seven goals in the annual pre-season clash

It was trialist Jordan Slew who opened the scoring for Town shortly after the half-hour mark, slotting home after a Conor Thomas cross.

The visitors then scored two more goals shortly before half time, firstly Thomas firing home after Slew’s cutback before first half skipper John Goddard made it three.

Town made wholesale changes at half time but it didn’t seem to upset their rhythm with James Brophy notching his first assist of the afternoon as he set up Luke Norris to make it 4-0.

On the hour mark, Paul Mullin scored his first goal in Town colours after his recent arrival from Morecambe, scoring with an acrobatic effort having been denied initially Supermarine’s trialist goalkeeper.

Dave Webb’s side were able to pull one goal back after a calm finish from Callum Parsons, but it was soon 6-1 with Mullin converting Brophy’s low cross.

Mullin then completed his hat-trick shortly before the final whistle, curling home from Scott Twine’s pass after a swift counter-attack.
