Ashton Keynes began life in the Swindon & District Premier Division with a 5-2 win over Swindon Spitfires.
Joining the league in the off season from the Cirencester & District League, Ashton Keynes hit their stride straight away at South Marston Rec.
Steve Andrews (2), Nick Gregory (2) and Olly Taylor were all on target for Richard Sutton’s side who bagged their first three points of the season.
FC Dorcan also began their season in fine style with a 9-3 thumping of Swindon Supermarine DC.
Luke Murphy was the star of the show for Dorcan, bagging five goals to help his side to the victory.
Scott Drew, Alastair Drew, Joel Ofori and Bart Bys were also on the score sheet for Dorcan, with Supermarine’s goals netted by Jake Tyson and Cameron Shrubb (2).
Bakers Arms kicked off their Premier Division campaign with a 4-2 win over Ramsbury.
John Holyoak and Blaine Fitzgerald both notched braces for the home side at Sevenfields, securing maximum points.
Stratton Juniors and Wroughton Reserves played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
Ryan Major (2) and Matt Seager were on target for the Stratton side but Mikey Thomson (2) and Jamie Pidgeon ensured the visitors left with a share of the spoils.
Defending champions Tawny Owl made it two wins from two but were pushed all the way by Lower Stratton, eventually running out 3-2 winners.
In Division One, Ruby Removals made it back-to-back wins with an 12-2 victory over Moredon.
On target for Ruby Removals was Jason Milhench and Lee Hayward, who both struck hat-tricks, while Louis Wollen, Godfrey Chlanga, Joe Deyager, Marcin Kowalski and Liam Butcher scored the others.
Tom Goodey and Paul Stevens were both on target with fine strikes for Moredon, but they proved scant consolation.
Marlborough Reserves are also on six points after a narrow 3-2 win over Swindon AFC.
Elliot Smith, Nathan Good and Michael Robinson bagged the goals for Marlborough to make it two wins from two for the Elcot Lane side.
New Town All Stars ensured Brockhill United’s difficult start to life in the Swindon & District League continued, thrashing them 13-0.
Adam Burson added to last week’s goal, notching five times whilst Jamie Bain bagged four.
Pete Wyatt (2), Carl Wyatt and Terry Moore also found the back of the net to compound Brockhill’s misery.
Highworth Town Development and Haydon Wick played out a 1-1 draw with Branden Fenwick and Reegan Pereira scoring the two goals.
Chiseldon moved on to four points in the early-season standings, thumping North Swindon WMC 7-0 at Moredon Rec.
