Northside clinched the double at the North Wilts Youth League U15 Cup Final as they triumphed 8-1 against AFC Newbury.

Having already been crowned league champions for the season, Northside got off to the perfect start when Connor Robb fired home a free-kick on 15 minutes.

Kain Chivers then made it 2-0 seven minutes later as he fired home from a rebound.

Newbury then missed a good chance to pull a goal back and paid the price when Edrin Asante broke free down the right before cutting in to score Northside’s third on 25 minutes.

Logan Plumley almost scored from 40 yards with the Newbury goalkeeper off his line but a fourth goal for Northside soon arrived when Asante set up Joe Cameron to score right on half-time.

After the break, Newbury hit back when Oliver Paul scored a penalty but soon after Northside made it 5-1, Asante grabbing his second goal of the game.

Hassan Geddy then made it 6-1 before two quickfire goals from Asante completed a superb 8-1 victory for Northside.
